Steve Leathers was born and raised in northwestern Pennsylvania. He was drawn to Portland in 2009 due to the high quality of life and ease of mobility and has never looked back. He has lived all over the city, gaining a deep knowledge of Portland’s communities, particularly the Eastside neighborhoods.
Prior to joining Inhabit, Steve was a Cartographer and Urban Planning consultant for 7 years, working on dozens of public involvement projects, comprehensive plans, and park and recreations plans along the west coast. He can often be found in one of Portland’s fantastic old movie theaters or wandering around the Overlook and Boise neighborhoods with his girlfriend and their dog.
Steve has also spent plenty of time volunteering for community organizations like Sunday Parkways and Friends of Trees, as well as cultural institutions like Pickathon and Design Week Portland. His volunteer work has informed his understanding of Portland’s sense of community. He’s always been service-minded and eager to help, and he can’t wait to help you find a new home!
